Wineries have continually experienced sales growth by turning to ecommerce, which allows customers to purchase products online using credit card processing services. For the fourth consecutive month, vineyards that belong to the Vintner's Alliance have experienced a 10 percent sales growth. Reports from January show that ecommerce sales averaged 12.5 percent increases.

"While the 4th quarter represents the majority of wine sales, we're demonstrating that our tools and technologies are able to provide year round, sustainable increases for our partners. Peak or off-peak, our methods are proven to be a brand enhancing sales tool for wineries of all sizes," said Ahin Thomas, Vintners' Alliance co-founder and president.

Due to its success, the organization has expanded to include 44 partnering wineries. Those businesses have successfully grown with ecommerce through the advertising and placement services that Vintner's Alliance provides. Vineyards, which are often in remote locations, may not have steady sales year round. Developing an online presence can provide customers with the resources they need to find and purchase specific products.

Specialty food and beverage businesses can increase sales by making their products available in the off-season and casting a wider net to reach cross-country customers. With an online payment processor, vineyard owners will conveniently be able to accept credit cards and debit cards.
